Arts Education is a priority in Lynchburg as well. The Virginia School of the Arts is a nationally recognized program for aspiring professional dancers at the pre-college level. VSA encourages students to achieve the highest standards of performance in dance. Students balance their dance program with a college-preparatory academic program at one of the city's award-winning public high schools. A private boarding school for students from grades 7-12, VSA provides an invigorating atmosphere created by daily contact with similarly gifted students.
