Mentor One™ Career Speed Dating February 4, 2008
It doesn't get any better than Cavalier hot dogs and fries with ranch; and, Texas Inn Cheesy Westerns and chili. That's what students and parents thought as they ate dinner. But it did get better! With five professionals providing expert information and advice on career fields selected for exploration by the students, this two-hour event flew by. From participating students, their parents, and the Office of Economic Development, a huge round of heartfelt thanks to those professionals who took time away from their families to donate to our evening meeting:
- Amanda McGovern, Coordinator of Judicial Affairs, Office of the Dean of Students, Lynchburg College
- Chuck Felmlee, Deputy Commonwealth's Attorney, Commonwealth Attorney's Office
- Gino Rucker, Packaging Supervisor, Fleet Laboratories
- Sara Jessop, Nuclear Engineer, AREVA NP
- Dr. T. Scott Garrett, Retired Surgeon
- Will Tyler, Systems Analyst/Programmer, Information Technology, City of Lynchburg
