Business Appreciation Week 2010 - LYNCHBURG, THE CITY OF OPPORTUNITY honored our businesses with two special events this year. A reception was held on May, 17th at downtown's newest event space, Tresca on 8th with guest speaker, Jeff Ferdorka, owner of Riverside Runners and Executive Director of Lynchburg's race Virginia Ten Miler. Mayor Joan Foster proclaimed the week of May 17th through 21st Business Appreciation Week in Lynchburg. Lynchburg Economic Development Authority Chair Massie Ware welcomed the crowd and thanked them for doing business in the City of Lynchburg. Local Business Support Organizations lined the walls to provide information on their services. A special thank you to Lynchburg Marketing Partnership, Retailers & Restaurants of Downtown Lynchburg, Lynchburg Retail Merchants Association, Convention & Visitors Bureau, Lynchburg Regional Chamber of Commerce, Lynch's Landing, Business Development Centre, Young Professionals of Central Virginia and SCORE. Entertainment was courtesy of the amazing EC Glass Jazz Lab and catered by Greens and Grains.
