Heritage High School Students are Winners at CVCC Technology Fair

Congratulations to following, who earned certifications from the Computer Systems Technology program and awards from the Technical Drawing Program at CVCC during their May 2007 Technology Fair.

Shawn Bryant and George Gross are CompTIA A+ Certified!
CompTIA A+ certification validates the latest skills needed by today's computer support professionals. It is an international, vendor-neutral certification recognized by major hardware and software vendors, distributors and resellers. CompTIA A+ confirms a technician's ability to perform tasks such as installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventive maintenance and basic networking. The exams also cover domains such as security, safety and environmental issues and communication and professionalism.

Shawn Bryant, Lacon Cash, Florent Levesque, George Gross, and Clay Smith are IC3 certified!
IC3 is mandated by the "No Child Left Behind Act 2001" to show computer competency and literacy. IC3 cultivates students who are:

  • Certified as skilled and knowledgeable in a broad range of technology from computer hardware and software, to operating systems, applications and the Internet.
  • Motivated to further develop their computing skills through technology courses.
  • Competent with the knowledge and "soft skills" required to be effective technology users.

  • Michael Mitchell 2nd Place 3-D Architectural Modeling using Architectural Desktop
  • John Adams & Gregory Wilkes 3rd Place Architectural Model Award
