An Evening of Celebration September 22, 2008

8th Grade Mentor One™ Students from each of Lynchburg's three middle schools celebrated their successful completion of the 2007-2008 Mentor One™ Workforce Development Program over dinner on Monday September 22,2008. Each of these bright students completed a year long program consisting of mentor interactions with business professionals in the community, visits to Region 2000 local colleges and universities, and career speed dating with successful professionals in Lynchburg. They also gained a wealth of business knowledge that can not be learned in a classroom or by reading a book. The students, parents, and the Office of Economic Development would like to express a sincere, heartfelt thank you to the Mentors who donated their valuable time away from the careers and personal lives to make a the 2007-2008 Mentor One™ Program a success.
