The Virginia Health Occupations Students of America competition was held March 2-4, 2007 in Richmond. The students conducted an "Oral Health and Wellness Fair" at each of the LCS middle schools for all 6th graders. They taught about the effects of oral piercing, tobacco use, eating disorders, nutrition, and proper oral hygiene. All of these students will be going to the National Health Occupations Students of America Conference in Orlando, Florida in June.

This middle school project was funded by the Lynchburg Education Foundation.
